About:
My client is an established and expanding Sash Window and Door business based in Guildford, Surrey who has been trading for over 20 years.
They have a manufacturing plant with offices in Guildford and they are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Advisoras they are looking to really tighten up on the H&S and Compliance including regulations and paperwork.
Duties:
- Induction of new factory staff to understand risks, methods and standards expected
- Coordinate training from start to final competency and maintain records.
- Update and maintain the Employee Training and matrices, including associated paperwork.
- Carry out face fit testing to all new employees.
- Provide H&S advice and guidance to all employees, if required. Attend
- H&S meetings and provide data in relation to training and competency.
- Carry out training and toolbox talks and ensure all understand the standards expected.
- Record incidents and complete accident investigation reports.
- Compile and review RA and COSHH assessments for the factory Assist the Factory Manager, as required with related training and projects.
- Ensure all first aid boxes and H&S signage is up to date and accurate.
- Promote a positive health and safety culture throughout.
Requirements:
NEBOSH Construction certified or working towards.
