We are assisting our client with the recruitment of an administrator to work on a fixed term 1 year contract to assist with processing payroll within a fast growing manufacturing company, as well supporting the HR team on a day-to-day basis.


Key Duties

  • Ensuring that permanent employees are paid on either a weekly or monthly basis in the correct manner
  • Processing starters and leavers, including preparing documentation, undertaking preemployment checks, following up return/submission of paperwork and arranging induction
  • Assisting in the processing of new starters, leavers and amendments, including pension administration.
  • Supporting existing team members as and when required, including filing, answering telephones etc.
  • Generally, support the HR department for administrative requirements
  • Forming and maintaining employee records
  • Supporting absence management procedures by processing attendance records and verifying absence reporting data
  • Cover for holidays and sickness in reception.

Person Specification

  • Ideally you will have a background in Payroll/HR administration, but this is not essential a strong administration background is essential
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Good time management, focused and very well organised
  • Ability to work independently
  • Expected level of education; minimum of GSCE including Maths Grade C or above
  • Highly organised, with good planning skills
  • Ability to manage time well and prioritise own workload.
