Apprenticeship summary

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Operate static machinery associated with the processing of mineral products
  • Carry out basic maintenance on static plant equipment
  • Be competent across a range of mobile plant to include Wheeled Loader and Fork Lift truck
  • Ensure all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards are adhered to.
  • Support in ensuring that all processing activities and production demands are satisfied.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • The Apprentice will be enrolled onto a Level 2 Mineral Processing Mobile and Static Plant Operator and MP Skills will be the Apprenticeship training provider.
  • The bulk of the training will take place at our Bent Farm site. However, the Apprentice may need to attend some training days off site at the M P Skills Training centre in Nottingham during the apprenticeship. These days will be spread across the apprenticeship and more information on this will be provided during the recruitment process.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Sibelco UK Ltd has a proud history of training apprentices over many years with many previous apprentices going on to work in the business. We aim to try and work with all of our Apprentices after they have completed and passed their Apprenticeship. Where this is not possible, we will provide support to the Apprentice to assist them in finding another role within the industry.
