About the role


As a Research Insight Consultant you will support the management and implementation the delivery of insight projects and measurement activity for Royal London Group.


The Research Team, within the UK Customer Insight function, is responsible for the provision of actionable insight and measurement activity which enable strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities
Liaise with stakeholders across the business to understand and shape their insight needs
Support in the delivery of large scale, complex insight projects
Carry out quantitative and qualitative research and analysis by utilising internal resources
Ensure projects are delivered on time and withing budget to meet the needs of the Group
Analyse secondary research reports and data, use insights to build reports that illustrate our current understanding on key topics across Royal London
Maximise the value from secondary research by identifying the most effective communication channels to share with the Group
Carry out the main body of project work for ongoing measurement programmes
Continuously assess data quality, managing and escalating issues as required

Criteria
An understanding of insight development tools and techniques
An understanding of data gathering methods and techniques
Ability to identify, articulate and communicate the key conclusions from insight projects and to offer actionable and relevant strategic recommendations
Some experience of managing external suppliers or internal project teams
Data literate and good story telling skills
Experience using Survey software such as SNAP, Excel, SPSS, or Q would be beneficial
Experience using external insight tools, such as YouGov Profiles, Experian's FSS segmentation or Mintel Reports would be beneficial
