Python Quant Developer - Leading Investment Bank

Duration: 12-Months initially

Location: Central London / Hybrid (4-days per week onsite).

Overview:

Our client, one of the largest retail and commercial banks in the UK, is seeking a skilled Python Quant Developer to join their team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in Beacon and Python programming to drive valuable business outcomes for the client.

As a Python Quant Developer, you will play a crucial role in providing Beacon technical expertise to the client, collaborating with their developers and quants to maximise the value of their investment and achieve their objectives through innovative solutions.

What we are looking for:

  • Provide in-depth knowledge of Beacon's engineering and markets perspective
  • Offer technical guidance on Beacon's financial object model and data integrations
  • Enable client self-sufficiency through training on Beacon utilisation
  • Accelerate time-to-value and help achieve valuable business outcomes
  • Architect designs considering data flows and end-user functionality
  • Develop code collaboratively to prototype and develop client solutions

What you will need to have:

  • Prior experience working on Beacon implementations
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the financial industry
  • Trading and risk management experience in relevant environments
  • Knowledge of FI products, specifically in the rates and bonds space
  • Strong numerate foundation and 4+ years of Python programming experience
  • Understanding of technology infrastructure and business requirements
  • Ability to bring creativity to clients' challenges and propose concrete solutions
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Based in London with willingness to work onsite at clients'
