What to expect
We have a new role for a Business Executive to support the Head of our Private Client department.

This is a really exciting time to join Thorntons as we continue to grow and transform our business and this role sits at the heart of that.


The scope of this role incudes:

  • Executive Support providing highlevel administrative support exclusively to the Head of Department, managing their calendar, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.
  • Stakeholder coordination acting as the liaison between the Head of Department and various stakeholders, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment on key initiatives.
  • Policy Documentation, Drafting & Circulation highlighting, drafting, and circulating departmental policy documentation under the guidance of the Head of Department
  • Meeting Preparation and Support preparing meeting agendas, collating necessary materials and providing logístical support for meetings attended by the Head of Department
  • Executive Administration efficiently managing administrative tasks for the Head of Department, including travel arrangements, expense reports, and document preparation.
  • Problem Solving & Decision support anticipating and proactively addressing potential issues, providing decision support to the Head of Department as needed.

What we're looking for:

  • A strong background in administration, ideally supporting senior leaders or executives.
  • Great IT Skills you will ideally be experienced in using the Microsoft Office suite including Teams, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Good communicator able to communicate well with colleagues, stakeholders and clients both verbally and in writing.
  • Interpersonal Skills able to build and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Organised able to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Flexible and Adaptable able to handle shifting priorities and new challenges in a fastpaced working environment.
  • Discretion, Confidentiality and Integrity able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion and manage data confidentiality and securely.
  • Problem-Solving an aptitude for identifying issues, evaluating options, and confident to propose solutions or recommendations.
  • Time Management able to manage time and resources to meet deadlines
  • Team worker able to work well in a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a great working environment
  • Previous project management experience will be an advantage, although not essential

Hours

  • Monday
  • Friday, 9am 5pm (35 hours per week)
