We arrange over 15,000 new customer life insurance policies per month with leading sales conversions and customer satisfaction metrics. The business is outbound, B2C sales from internet generated customer enquiries.
Responsibilities
About the role

The role will involve a wide variety of duties such as finding/testing technical solutions; designing and coding the solution, while also supporting the test team and infrastructure team for go live.

As part of the Development team, the Software Engineers will work on many exciting new tech as we migrate to Azure and be part of a fun, relaxed and customer focussed team.

Core to our business is a CRM system that we think is leading the Insurance Brokerage industry.

It is based on PHP and MySQL, as the business grows the functions to support the CRM now require inquisitive, diligent and committed people to grow our team.

Qualifications
Software development using the LEMP stack (PHP 7+)
Good understanding of OOP principles
Test Driven Development / Unit testing
MVC frameworks (CakePHP / Laravel / Lumen) ideally a couple of years
Version control systems GIT (Github / Gitlab)
Responsive design and mobile layouts
Working with medium to large datasets (Mysql / Redis)
Git (Gitlab)
Monitoring (NewRelic)
Cypress Automated Testing
Business rules engines / Workflow engines
Broad knowledge of Insurance regulations
