Assistant Finance Manager

This role will support the management of a close-knit local team, whilst offering extensive senior stakeholder engagement,as well as leading high profile global projects.
A strong blend of people management and ad-hoc project responsibilities.Reporting to the finance manager, the main duties will include:
- Supporting the management of month end process
- Reviewing monthly journals prepared by the team in line with strict deadlines and being the point of contact for more complex queries.
- Supporting the finance manager to manage a small team of management accountants and assistant accountants locally, whilst collaborating with other global teams.
- Leading the centralisation of specific accounting tasks.
- Participating in the review processes of reconciliations and budgeting to drive improvement.
- Supporting the transition of a new accounting package across the team
- Collaborating with other financial stakeholders across the business
- Leading any adhoc projects or technical tasks when required
To be considered for this role, you must be a fully qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with a minimum of 2-3 years post qualified experience.
Ideally experience will have been gained within industry, however, this is also suitable for those with appropriatepeople management experience looking to make their first move out of accountancy practice.
People management experience is particularly important. You will have excellent communication skills to build a strong rapport with team members and various senior stakeholders.Likewise, you will have high attention to detail where you can meet often conflicting deadlines.
