Position Overview

This position is responsible for driving the implementation of key components within the organization's modern Data and Analytics infrastructure. As the Technical Lead, you will lead the development of new data capabilities, guide technical requirements, and design decisions.

It is vital to adhere to the FCA and PRA's Conduct Rules and prioritize customer interests to deliver positive outcomes.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define the Data Platform implementation roadmap and technical approach in collaboration with the Head of Data Engineering.
  • Lead a critical business system supporting core data needs.
  • Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and the Head of Data Engineering.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to prioritize changes and defect resolutions.
  • Work with technical leads and IT leaders to identify development opportunities.
  • Ensure platform performance, stability, and policy adherence.
  • Coordinate development activities, testing strategies, and maintenance.
  • Mentor and coach team members for their growth and development.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for innovative system development.

  • Manage inherent risks by following internal policies and procedures.

Personal Specifications

Knowledge/ Experience/Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Stack, python, and data pipelines.
  • Expertise in DevOps, DataOps, and leading technical teams.
  • Knowledge of ETL, data integration, GDPR, and Agile practices.
  • Experience in data security, data formats, data quality, and MLOps.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent work experience in relevant industry.
  • Azure certifications (preferred).
  • Strong leadership, creativity, problem-solving, and communication skills.
