The Team

  • Security Operations - responsible for day-to-day operational processes and incidents
  • Cyber Security - defining security best practices for technologies and internal pentesting
  • Compliance & Risk - overseeing accreditations, auditing, and risk management


This role is part of the Security Operations (SecOps) team, ensuring that our business operates in accordance with defined policies & procedures and manages all group security incidents.


Key areas of focus for the team:

  • Vulnerability management to address issues identified through internal and external vulnerability testing.
  • Incident management - handling security incident response activities and coordinating incident response with resolving teams.


In addition to collaborating daily with other security teams, you will engage with all business teams at every level, maintaining a strong security posture and fostering our security culture. You will also be involved in Security Awareness and Training, UK security vetting, Business Continuity Planning, and supplier onboarding.


The wider security team offers opportunities for cross-training and career development, with management supporting personal growth through access to training tools. Continuous improvement is emphasized, and feedback from the SecOps team helps enhance the capabilities of our products based on real end-user insights.


The Role

  • Manage vulnerability scanning tools for all Egress products
  • Investigate SIEM alerts and work with Engineering and Operations teams to resolve issues
  • Plan and manage 3rd party penetration testing
  • Support customer requests for security-related information
  • Handle supply chain security
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives


The Person


Your work in the SecOps team will involve a hybrid environment, requiring independent work and teamwork. Candidates with experience in cloud security and skills in investigating and managing security incidents are preferred. The ideal candidate will possess good prioritization, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
