Managing Quantity Surveyor – Rail Infrastructure

We are looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a main contractor known for their expertise in delivering challenging rail projects for clients such as Network Rail and TFL. This role is based in Central London.

Candidate Profile:

  • - Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying
  • - Minimum of seven years experience with main contractors on rail projects
  • - Previous exposure to Rail projects is a must
  • - Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • - Familiarity with dealing with Network Rail and TFL

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • - Ensure protection of commercial position through comprehensive knowledge of contractual, commercial, insurance, and legal processes
  • - Manage client relationships to facilitate smooth contractual progress
  • - Liaise with clients, PQS, and senior staff
  • - Provide guidance and mentorship to other members of the commercial team
  • - Understand and anticipate commercial and technical changes at a strategic level
  • - Plan for changes in commercial resources on the project
  • - Offer commercial support during tendering processes
  • - Develop and oversee project procurement schedules
  • - Supervise subcontract procurement based on the given policy
  • - Ensure efficient procurement of materials and services, maintaining proper records
