Teaching Personnel are currently seeking: A teacher of Physical Education who is able to teach PE across all ages from 11 to 18.The ideal start date would be in July, but happy to take on from September also. We welcome applications from established teachers and from ECTs. We are an increasingly diverse community and greatly value the contribution that colleagues from different backgrounds and with different experiences bring to our school.

The role:

As a PE Teacher, you will play a crucial role in promoting physical activity, health, and wellbeing among students while fostering a love for sports and fitness. You will have the opportunity to deliver engaging and dynamic PE lessons that cater to students' diverse interests, abilities, and needs.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Planning, prepping and delivering science lessons to meet the differing needs of pupils with various levels of learning.
  • Teaching a full timetable across KS3 and GCSE
  • Attending parents evening and department meeting
  • Managing behaviour in line with the school behaviour policy

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialization in Physical Education
  • Passion for promoting physical activity, health, and wellbeing among young people, with a commitment to inspiring and motivating students through PE.
  • Experience teaching PE at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of curriculum requirements, sports coaching principles, and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Knowledge of a range of sports, games, and physical activities, with the ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit the needs and interests of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
