Assistant Estimator

As a result of continued expansion of the Group, DDS are looking to recruit an Assistant Estimator to work in the Groundworks and Civil Engineering division.


DDS strive to set ourselves apart from our competition with how we operate - High Standards is at the heart of the operation.


The typical duties they will undertake shall include:

  • Reviewing tender documentation.
  • Preparing and issuing subcontract and supplier enquiries.
  • Subcontract and supplier quotation analysis and comparison.
  • Building up rates using "first principles".
  • Updating and maintenance of current pricing library.
  • Takingoff from drawings to produce bills of quantity which have been measured to recognised methods.


Due to ongoing training the individual will require, this opportunity would not be suitable for someone looking to work-from-home or hybrid office/home arrangement.

This is a full-time, office-based position.
