Would you like to be the site leader and expert at the Clipper Teas factory based in Dorset on all Health, Safety and Environmental topics, policies and practices ensuring they meet our Ecotone standards and local legislation? As Site Champion for HS&E you will be responsible for the implementation, training and compliance of HS&E throughout the 24/7 site. Our ideal candidate will have several years background in food manufacturing with Food Safety Level 2, NEBOSH and an environmental qualification under their belts. An understanding of IFS and BRC Foods Standards is expected plus a knowledge of SAP/ERP would be an advantage.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Set, communicate and monitor the site HSE strategy and annual HSE plans
  2. Carry out and review risk assessments - lead corrective action plans
  3. Coordinate and conduct HSE audits and inspections – lead improvement plans
  4. Lead and implement HSE initiatives and improvement programmes
  5. Keeping comprehensive statistics and trend analysis across HSE
  6. Report and investigate accidents and incidents. Assist with the implementation of preventative and corrective actions
  7. Actively communicate and promote HSE awareness across the site in an interactive way
  8. Lead, coordinate and provide HSE training as appropriate
  9. Act as the site representative for waste reduction and all HS&E programmes
  10. Maintain environmental compliance and relevant ISO certifications
  11. HSE input and support for all projects
  12. Share best practice with HSE representatives in other Ecotone factories and the Group HSE Manager
  13. Liaise with the Health & Safety Executive and other bodies as and when appropriate
