Job Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work as the Head of Department reporting to the Director of Clinical Services.
  • Champion, lead, and inspire the radiology team.
  • Plan, allocate, assess, and provide feedback to team members.
  • Maintain and support the effective utilization of resources.
  • Implement and monitor processes and policies.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to team members.
  • Manage the Radiology team to meet patient needs.
  • Create a positive working environment that enhances health and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with IRMER regulations.
  • Promote equality and diversity among staff.
  • Manage relationships with Consultant Radiologists.
  • Oversee clinical governance and audit in the department.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
  • HCPC Registered.
  • Substantial post-qualification experience as a Senior Radiographer/ Team Leader.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in RIS/PACS and IEP systems management.
  • Continuous CPD involvement.
  • Strong knowledge of IRMER legislation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality diagnostic services.

Schedule:

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
  • On-call duties as required.
