4 on 2 off (Split shifts - daily 8hours)


We have a great opportunity for working as a Lock Operative in Fleetwood Port during the summer period with part-time, flexible working available throughout the year.

What is the job role of a Port Operative?
Port operatives perform essential roles for the discharge of vessels and supply chain.

  • Supporting the Lock Manager with Lock operations
  • Ensuring H&S rules are adhered to at all times
  • Supporting the port operators to ensure the vessel arrives in a timely manner
  • Adhoc 4hour shifts working in line with the port requirements
  • All general duties as required

What skills do you need to be successful as a Port Operative?

  • No experience required as training provided however previous experience in a similar role is desirable e.g. Port operative, stevedore, labourer, marine operative
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Comfortable working outdoors in the elements

Pay:
£11.44-£12.00 per hour
