Job Specification

  • Edit in Final Cut Pro to create teaching and training films.
  • Design and create Apple Motion animation and templates for use in training and marketing films.
  • Design and create animated 3D models using Blender for teaching films and for use in RMT media projects.
  • Follow an editor's script or template film to ensure consistency.
  • Liaise with the Film Lead and members of the Film Team to plan film content and prioritise projects.
  • Upload films onto video hosting platforms.

Skills and qualities required for the role

Essential:

  • Edit with Final Cut Pro with a high level of precision.
  • Animate using Apple Motion.
  • Create and animate 3D characters using Blender for teaching films and for use in RMT media projects.
  • Using an image editor or a texturing app to create materials for 3D models.
  • Use an image editor such as Photoshop to create 2D assets.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Pay great attention to detail and work to a brief.
  • Have creative problemsolving skills.
  • Communicate effectively with a team.
  • Committed to developing and improving film content.
  • Selfmotivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in English.

Desirable:

  • Experience using video hosting platforms (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo).
  • Experience using Rigify in Blender.
