Bishop Auckland, Durham, United Kingdom British Veterinary Association Full time

We have a new and exciting opportunity at our Bishop Auckland Vets for Pets surgery for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team on either a part time or full-time basis to aid the growth of the business.

Bishop Auckland is in the heart of County Durham, with Newcastle just a short drive away, making it the perfect location for those keen to hit the shops and explore on their days off.

If the countryside is more your thing, then we are surrounded by the beautiful North Pennines, Yorkshire Dales and Moors.

The practice itself is located close to local amenities and transport links making it suitable for commuting from the local towns.

We are a thriving and experienced practice with high clinical standards and wonderful clients. You will be a part of a friendly and supportive team. Due to the size of our team this allows the vets to focus on their priorities.

We are looking for a passionate experienced veterinary surgeon, on either a part time or full-time basis, however we can be flexible as to what the hours look like.

There will be 1 in 4 Saturdays mornings 9am-12pm on a rota basis but no OOHs.

You must be a team player and enjoy working cases up to a high level and provide a high standard of both patient and customer care.

Offering a salary from 65K, and as you'd expect we offer all the standard benefits (pension, healthcare, paid memberships etc.) plus a few more, such as excellent career progression and exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts (up to 30% off at Pets at Home).

We're also happy to provide relocation packages from within or outside the UK, including visa sponsorship if needed (we're an A+ rated sponsor).

Pets just see people. And just like pets, we embrace everyone's differences.

We work to break down barriers, attract and develop diverse talent, and create a culture that allows everyone to be the best they can be.
