We are in search of a skilled Site Engineer to join our esteemed client for a significant highways project in Chesterfield.

This opportunity is ideal for a professional with a solid background in drainage and surfacing, combined with extensive experience in setting out.

The role involves night shifts for an initial 12-week period, with the potential for extension depending on project demands.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage site operations during night shifts.
  • Accurately perform setting out tasks.
  • Ensure highest standards in all drainage and surfacing activities.
  • Promote and uphold high health and safety standards on-site.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure work meets project specifications and timelines.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.
  • Provide progress updates and address any issues to the project manager.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar highways role.
  • Solid background in drainage and surfacing.
  • Extensive experience in setting out.
  • Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Availability for night shifts.
