The position will be based in our Glasgow office, providing IT support via WGM's IT Service Management system as well as over the telephone and will run over a period of 30 months.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Assist the IT team to provide 1st line support to all staff across all WGM locations.
- Learn to record all issues via the IT Service Desk.
- Always provide excellent customer service ensuring effective communication is maintained throughout.
- Learn to manage staff changes ensuring you liaise with the appropriate business stakeholders in line with WGM's "One Team" approach.
- PC device management manage the logistics involved in old device replacement & new device issue.
- Software management manage standard and nonstandard software deployments including the evaluation process to add to WGM IT's software estate.
- Active Directory & other tracking/database maintenance perform user detail changes when needed to maintain accuracy of this important resource.
- Assist in WGM IT asset management ensuring accurate records are kept.
- Learn Hardware and Software basic fault diagnosis, liaison with suppliers on fault resolution
- Peripheral item management maintaining stock levels, issuing new items to staff and maintaining records
- Liaise with 3rd parties regarding old equipment disposal
