As a Beaumont Home Care
Senior Care Professional, you will play a pivotal role within the company and be a critical part of our client's life, providing both physical care and emotional nourishment.

From a hearty meal to personal grooming and ensuring a peaceful night's sleep, your role turns routine into comfort and nights into restful experiences.

This is a part-time role and flexibility is required.

Our operating hours are 7am to 10pm, and shift patterns for this role can vary as follows:

Early morning - 7am to 10am

Late morning - 10am to 1pm

Early afternoon - 1pm to 4pm

Late afternoon - 4pm to 7pm

Evening - 7pm to 10pm

Extended morning - 7am to 2pm

Extended afternoon - 3pm to 10pm

Full day - 7am to 7pm
-
Full day - 10am to 10pm

What you will do:

-
Personal care - assist our wonderful clients in getting ready for their day ahead. This may include assistance in getting in/out of bed, washing, showering/bathing, dressing and, when necessary, help going to the toilet
-
Administration of medication
-
Running errands - many of our clients require support getting out and about, so you'll assist with tasks such as shopping / picking up prescriptions etc
-
Companionship - provide company, reassurance, a joke or two, humour, fun and laughter
-
Light housekeeping - light housekeeping such as hoovering, dusting, changing the bed, washing up
-
Meal preparation - as we all know there is nothing better than a delicious home cooked meal and depending on the time of day that may mean breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

  • Report directly to the Registered Manager.
  • Lead by example within our established professional care team.
  • Work towards and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Be
    responsible and
    accountable for the smooth running of the care team.
  • Respond to emergencies and
    provide guidance and
    support to all staff on duty.
  • Participate in the
    oncall rota and cover any uncovered care calls when required.
  • Undertake spot checks on the care team and hold support and supervision meetings as needed.
  • Provide care and support within the community as part of the care team.

What you will need:

  • Previous experience in a Care Assistant role or as a Senior Carer is essential
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable
  • Compassionate patient nature with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team or independently
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Patience, compassion and professionalism
