We are pleased to announce that we have a vacancy for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Practice Nurse at St Neots Health Centre. The Practice Nurse will play an important role in the future of the service and will be part of a wider team, who can be agile, innovative, and future focused.
We have a part-time position available for 24 hours (the full-time for us is 40 hours per week).
Shift pattern available: Monday: 8am - 1pm; Tuesday 8am - 6pm (half an hour lunch break) &Wednesday8am - 6pm (half an hour lunch break).
Main duties of the job
You will have a passion for supporting patients to be healthy by utilising your skills in health prevention, screening, and early management of long-term health conditions. You will strive to continuously deliver quality and safe services to a high standard. The post-holder will be expected to work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver excellent nursing care and to maximise Practice income such as QOF and enhanced service contracts.

Job descriptionJob responsibilities
The successful candidate must have experience of patients with a variety of long-term health conditions, be comfortable with change, able to work autonomously and keen to work in non-traditional care systems. A willingness to learn and develop their skills and undertake training relevant to their role is also essential, with an openness to support the wider nursing team.
Practice Nurse core responsibilities will involve:
Venepuncture Blood pressure ECG Height/Weight/BMI Health Promotion Childhood and Adult Immunisations Wound Care Contraception Cervical Screening Spirometry Long-term condition management such as Diabetes, COPD, Asthma Some experience of long-term condition management and cervical screening is experience of long-term condition management and cervical screening is essential.Location: St Neots Health Centre, Moore's Walk, Saint Neots PE19 1AG
