Job title: General Manager

Company: A leading Building Services Design firm based in Glasgow is seeking an experienced General Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting low carbon building projects.

Location: Glasgow

Reporting to: Dan Gates

Salary: Competitive

Introduction to the role

To support our growth, we are looking for a dynamic General Manager to oversee our Building Services Design departments' technical consultancy for low carbon building projects. The role will be based in our Glasgow Milngavie Office.

Key features of the role include:

  • Manage an engineering team and clients in delivering projects efficiently
  • Handle Marketing activities including web and social media posts
  • Assist in day-to-day administrative tasks such as HR and accounts management

Essential Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • A Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in project and office management
  • Passion for low carbon energy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word
  • Ability to work with HR, staff management, and performance evaluation
  • Experience in managing subcontractors
  • Alignment with environmental values and goals

Desirable requirements

We value candidates with the following skills:

  • Degree in a STEM or engineering discipline
  • Accounting experience in XERO
  • Marketing expertise, particularly with Instagram and WordPress
  • Understanding of IT management, including office 365 admin
  • Public sector or industry experience of 5+ years
  • Background in Energy, architectural, or construction sectors
