Are you an experienced Receptionist/Administrator looking for a varied and interesting job - and interested in working with Children Centre Services? If so, this may be the job for you


We are looking to recruit a Receptionist/Administrator for 22.5 hours per week (with opportunity for overtime in peak periods) who would enjoy working with the Children Centre Services.


The role will be split into 2 days a week in the customer facing reception role on Monday and Tuesdays and 1 day a week in an administrative back-office administrator role, providing a varied and well-rounded work week.


The other day in the administrative back-office role will include supporting the service with various administration functions including data entry and reporting, managing databases, writing communications to service users, supporting our active Social Media communications, service promotion and other administration tasks.

We're looking for someone who;

  • Has excellent customer services skills and a courteous and effective manner when under pressure.
  • Is empathetic whilst having attention to detail and the ability to work calmly under pressure and be a good team player
  • You will need to be well organised, and have sound IT skills including being proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and Publisher. You will also enjoy using social media platforms to promote the service offer and achievements.


Brightstart Children Centre Service provide a range of services for families with children primarily aged 0-5 years, including groups and 1:1 support.

The administration team are central to it's successful functioning.

The service has 3 bases:
Keynsham Children & Family Centre, Radstock Children & Family Centre and Bath Children & Family Centre.

This postholder will work from our Keynsham site, although cover may be needed in other areas for periods of sickness or annual leave.
