The Last Mile team at Amazon Logistics is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technical expert to enhance the technical capabilities of the Amazon Logistics fleet.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Technical Vehicle expert include:

  • Leading optimizations of the vehicle fleet's technical attributes to enhance customer experience
  • Taking ownership of planning, executing, and resolving complex technical projects
  • Independently identifying improvement opportunities and managing projects from inception to completion
  • Challenging existing practices and pushing for continuous improvement
  • Taking ownership, initiating action plans, and achieving set goals
  • Utilizing analytical tools for data-driven decision-making
  • Managing projects effectively and reporting on progress

A typical day for a VCM team member involves:

Handling field issues, advancing project resolutions, participating in team activities, and following a weekly cadence. Prioritization is crucial in this fast-paced and dynamic role, leading to a rewarding work environment.

The team is small, agile, and technically proficient, representing the technical voice of Amazon Logistics. Constantly striving for process enhancements and excellence is at the core of our team's philosophy.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or higher
  • Extensive experience in technical program management or related roles in the automotive industry
  • Working in cross-functional teams
  • Business reporting expertise

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or M.Sc. in Engineering
  • Strong customer focus
  • Managing complex technical programs effectively
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Delivering results in a fast-paced setting
  • Team player with a proactive attitude
