We have worked with this client for over 12 years, we have recruited interim programme team members for transformation and executive level permanent hires. The business now requires a Business Director who has experience working in the prison service or custodial services. Our client is a leading provider of facilities management services and infrastructure maintenance services across the UK, they have ambitious growth targets for 2024 and 2025 and are currently performing well. To achieve their ambitious growth projections their bid management team is focussing on key areas of business including providing hazard and soft services to the UK Government. This role would suit an experienced operations director or business director or account director who has knowledge of leading operations and client interactions in the prison service or custodial service. Experience matters in this specialist area of work to ensure that prisoners and the staff that take care of them can be kept safe.

Objectives for the Business Director / Operations Director / Account Director:
  1. In 6 Months:
    1. Build credibility across the bid team and leadership to become a trusted sage in all things prisons and custodial services
    2. Become an integral part of the bid team whilst leading the relationship and communication with the client
    3. Knowledge transfer your skills and experience to upskill the existing bid and operations team so they can deliver a bid that is regarded as industry leading
  2. Within 2 Years:
    1. Mobilise the service ensuring that operational and compliance KPIs are met or exceeded
    2. Stabilise the day to day operational service delivery ensuring that the clients expectations are met or exceeded
    3. Create the 10-year strategy to build this service into a successful operational delivery unit that is capable of global expansion

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Operational knowledge of the prison service or custodial service
  • Passionate and hardworking with a hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication skills internally and with clients
