Your new role
As a QA/Test Engineer, you will be managed by the QA/Test Engineering Practice Lead and will work within one or more 'Product Teams'.
Your role spans all testing disciplines as you seek mastery in each of them.Your primary responsibilities will include; Automatingtests, expanding testing coverage, driving greater testing involvement at user story and acceptance criteria forming stages, setting up Continuous Integration automated and repeatable tests within the CI/CD pipeline, performing low-level testing like unittesting and module testing, building test plans and writing test cases, participating in the defect detection, re-production, logging, and re-testing cycle within an Azure DevOps defect management system, identifying pertinent testing gaps from risk-basedtesting approaches used within your product team, analyzing requirements to help perform testing effectively and develop (complex) test data sets, build different test scenarios and acceptance tests in complex scenarios, using statistical data that illustratesthe number of repeated tests on the same features or functions of your product as a metric for determining test automation and prioritization, conducting exploratory and bounds testing (tests to try to break a system or test its integrity), checking productconsistency across devices, browsers, and operating systems, providing inputs on high-level test scenarios, challenges, risks, and opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong experience in Agile and DevOps
- Experience in Automation testing
- Ability to Write code in one or more languages
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience in using Cucumber/Gherkin syntax to articulate Behaviour Driven Development (BDD)
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar defect management system
- Experience in unit testing and module testing
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong technical skills in test automation frameworks and scripting languages
- Experience in working with IT partners and development teams
- Experience in setting up Continuous Integration automated and repeatable tests within the CI/CD pipeline
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
- Proven track record of testing and quality assurance in a productcentric environment
