A top legal 500 firm are recruiting for a solicitor or legal executive to join their Court of Protection team in Reading.

This firm are internationally recognised and very progressive and forward thinking.

Being highly ranked in the chambers and legal500 guides, it is one of the most respected firms in the Thames Valley and working here would be an excellent career move.

On top of its notoriety, the firm also boasts excellent working conditions, with flexibility for hybrid working (you will only be requiredto be in the office for one or two days per week), very competitive salaries, travel season tickets, private health care, etc.

The role will see you helping a partner with high value deputyships and personal injury trusts, preparing a variety of applicationsto the Court of Protection, overseeing the purchase and adaptation of properties, liaising with case managers, surveyors, architects, investment managers and other professionals.

You will also be instrumental in the business development and marketing of thedepartment (for this reason a strong business acumen is essential).


To be successful in your application, you will:

  • Be a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with experience in court of protection work.
  • Have experience managing high value deputyships.
  • Be ambitious and keen to progress (promotion is very likely for the right candidate).
  • Be client focused, driven and passionate. This private client team is ranked very highly in Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 guides.
