Team Profile


The Business Systems team advise business teams of the systems and process implications of new projects and initiatives, and support the development of business cases for these.


They also support business areas in defining business requirements and documenting these for agreement, and identifying potential solutions to meet these.

Role Profile


In this exciting new role you will be responsible for working closely with the wider PMO team to support the smooth running of the IT PMO by owning and undertaking various tasks related to project plans, risks, issues, budget tracking, change control, reporting, meetings management etc.

You will also undertake business requirements, system or data analysis activities as required by the PMO team from time to time.


Responsibilities include:

  • Undertake quality assurance activities by ensuring plans risks, issues and changes and other project management controls are being undertaken in line with the processes defined by the PMO.
  • In support of the projects, own and manage any allocated project activities, risks and issues as and when required.
  • Work with the Senior IT Project manager and project managers to develop, implement and monitor plans, processes, reports and other programmelevel controls to ensure the programme continuously improves its control mechanisms
  • Own the onboarding and offboarding of leavers and joiners to the programme
  • Manage timesheets of contractors and 3rd parties and support budget and cost management.
  • Supporting meetings by organising rooms, coordinating dairies etc. and attending meetings to take

Requirements include:

  • Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate reports in a timely manner ready for review by PMO colleagues and senior management.
  • Experience of using MS Project (or similar), Teams, SharePoint and Office 36
  • Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Previous experience supporting / coordinating projects.
  • Knowledge and some experience of project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
