About the role


As an SEN Teaching Assistant in the specialist resource provision, you'll play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Collaborating closely with teachers and the school's SENCO, you'll contribute to developing personalized learning plans, tailoring support to cater to the specific needs of each student.

Your daily responsibilities will include offering one-on-one assistance, supporting classroom activities, and promoting students' social and emotional growth. Your empathy and understanding will be instrumental in helping students overcome challenges and progress academically and personally.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:


Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant is advantageous, but we welcome applicants with a passion for supporting students with diverse needs.

Understanding of various special educational needs, such as PMLD, SEMH, ASC, ADHD, or challenging behaviour.
Empathy, resilience, and adaptability are vital qualities for success in this role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive connections with students and staff.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

Experience working with either children or adults with additional needs
