Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Yard Worker and Forklift Operator to join our friendly, independent team. You will be responsible for various duties related to shipping, receiving, and materials handling.

You will also be expected to deal with both suppliers' deliveries along with loading contractors and the public who come into the yard.


Duties:

  • Load & unload lorries in a safe and efficient manner, and stack materials safely
  • Checking and signing for supplier goods received
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment to move materials within the yard
  • Safe loading customer and company vehicles with various materials
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard
  • Assisting that the yard and is kept neat & tidy and a safe environment at all times
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment
Experience/Skills

  • Familiarity with materials handling equipment and forklift experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Trustworthy
  • Reliable with good timekeeping skills

Working Hours:
Mon - Fri: 7am - 5pm

Saturdays: 8am-12pm Rota based

Pay:
£11.44-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
