Clinical Negligence Solicitor

Location: Liverpool

Contract Type: Perm

Bond Turner are one of the North West's leading Legal practices, specialising in Personal Injury, Defamation, Clinical Negligence, Professional Negligence, and Abuse.

We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor who will be based in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the work they do, the service they provide and getting the best results for their clients.

We are looking to further expand our Clinical Negligence team and are looking for an experienced Fee Earner / Solicitor to provide direct support to director and solicitors to enable the department to operate at optimum efficiency. Working with a high degree of self-management and initiative.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Support fee director in all aspects of the management of cases.
  • Manage your caseload from cradle to grave.
  • Attend conferences and meetings where appropriate.
  • Represent clients at hearings where you have appropriate rights of audience and where the firm believes you have the experience and expertise to do so.
  • Undertake progress and supervisory reviews.
  • Consider liability from the medical records.
  • Quantify claims from an early stage and draft schedules of loss.
  • Attend clients on the telephone and in person to provide up-dates on progress and to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm's standards for client care.
  • Negotiating with third parties and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcome for the client.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all of the firm's and customer's documentation and information.
  • Be flexible and adaptable in taking on new roles within limits of capabilities.
  • Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.

About You:

  • The ability to drive files and obtain the best results for clients and the firm
  • Proven settlement and costs target achievement.
  • Accreditation with law society or AvMA preferable but not requirement
  • Ability to drive and manage staff
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and customer service skills
  • The ability to use a high degree of self-management and initiative to prioritise workloads
  • At least PQE grade B
