About the role:

Our client is looking to hire an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team, this is a varied role which will give exposure to all elements of an accounts department.

Working as part of the accounts team the role will help ensure the smooth running of the accounts function within the business.


Job

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of Sales invoices
  • Checking and querying Purchase invoices
  • Coding and entering Purchase invoices
  • Dealing with day-to-day supplier and client queries
  • Contacting and liaising with suppliers
  • Data entry and invoice validation
  • Preparing monthly management reports
  • Additional ad hoc duties as may be reasonably required

Specifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good relationship building skills and desire to work as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational and time keeping skills with the ability to juggle the coordination of multiple clients
  • Flexible, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Appetite to learn and develop technical knowledge and understanding within the role
  • Good working knowledge level of MS Excel and the rest of the MS Office Suite, including Outlook and Word
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Previous experience as a Finance Assistant or within an accounting role
  • Knowledge of Sage Accounting software would add a competitive advantage
