Park Ranger

This is primarily a stand alone role working within Whaley Bridge Memorial Park, however it involves working with a diverse range of community groups and so experience of partnership working is essential.
Applicants will have experience in promoting, supporting and delivering a range of events and activities to encourage community involvement and promote the park.
The Park Ranger will be the lead person for maintaining the park with support from the wider Grounds Maintenance Team and will have a good knowledge of recreation, heritage, conservation and ecological issues and a good understanding of horticultural practices in order to maintain the Memorial Park to a high standard.
This role will involve some work in the evenings and at weekends and so a flexible approach to work is essential.
