Shift Pattern/Working Hours:

37.5hrs per week Mon-Thurs 08:30-17:00 Fri 08:30-14:30

Main Purpose of Job:

To assume responsibility of the Sales and Production Plan to meet Customer demand

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:

  • Build, maintain and control a Monthly Sales Plan aligned to the agreed Customer demand and capacity
  • Launch orders in to production and establish a sequence of each work order to support on time in full shipments
  • Ensure ERP workto lists are always maintained.
  • Lead weekly production planning meetings (Launch, Dock)
  • Planning and Co-Ordination of Sub Contract (Outplant) requirements
  • Overview operations OTIF to ensure planning schedules are being delivered against
  • Produce Weekly/monthly/Quarterly Forecasts
  • Work closely with Customer Delivery Planners to ensure level loading of the order book in line with Capacity and clearly communicating impacts to delivery
  • Manage Quality and Technical priorities to support Customer Demand and monthly sales plans
  • Maintain MRP driven data, Lead times, Queue Times etc.
  • Effective Inventory management to reduce slow moving WIP.
  • Work closely with the Materials Manager to ensure Material availability aligned to the forward plan
  • Supply weekly progress reports to the Customer Delivery Manager on relevant KPIs (OTIF, Arrears)
  • Support Customer facing meetings/updates where required
  • Support and Drive Process Improvement initiatives

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree Qualified or equivalent preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Experience (Excel)
  • Previous experience in a planning role (minimum 2 years' experience)
  • Experience working within a Manufacturing or similar fast paced environment
  • Extensive use of MRP/ERP systems (ideally experience in using Tropos/Epicor)

Up to £35,000.00 per year
