Job Purpose
To operate excavators efficiently and safely on civil engineering projects, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of earthworks, trenching, and excavation tasks in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Operate excavators to perform earthmoving, trenching, and excavation tasks.
- Load and unload materials, move earth, and grade surfaces.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on excavators to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to project plans, specifications, and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with site management and other trades to ensure smooth project operations.
- Interpret and follow site markings, grade stakes, and blueprints.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the Site Manager immediately.
- Complete daily logs and reports on work performed
