Summary

This role will play a key role in implementing the regional market strategy, identifying market opportunities and creative business models for energy storage. Collaborating with the regional and country development organization in support of commercial goals and objectives including pipeline development, partnerships and key stakeholder management.

Duties and responsibilities

Identifying and developing with Country Heads market opportunities for battery energy storage systems (BESS) co-located with solar pv or standalone Work with suppliers and other market participants to develop strategic partnership and innovative routes to market to secure bankable revenue and optimization agreements to support stand-alone and collocated solar plus storage project development. Identify market-level bottlenecks and collaborate with regional leadership to solve Provide input into opportunity prioritization, short, medium and long-term value optimization Facilitate knowledge sharing and lessons learnt between various countries Liaise with structured finance and power markets to project generate value optimization. Take responsible working with the wider teams for development and implementation of our development strategy for stand-alone BESS and collocated solar pv and storage. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, such as technical storage, finance, engineering and construction across the broader organization to manage opportunities strategically Ability to lead on the relevant inputs for a techno-economical hybrid model to identify the optimal business case.

Who we're looking for

Knowledge and Experience

Comprehensive knowledge of BESS, including techno-economic project structuring, is a must along with utility scale energy storage experience and a working knowledge of renewables projects Understanding of how to stack varying revenue opportunities for collocated or standalone storage in order to optimize value Successful track record of executing complex energy projects and/or transactions. Strong project and process management skills with experience managing multiple teams on simultaneous projects. Good interpersonal, leadership and collaboration skills. Relevant experience of industry Business Development, with strong external and executive level engagement/stakeholder management.
