Setter/Operator - Forging and Heat Treatment

Responsibilities:
  • To work efficiently, observing, quality, safety, and productivity standards in the preparation, forging, and heat treatment area
  • Ensuring work is completed in accordance with delivery lists and 'work to' lists and ensuring parts are produced to required quality standards and on time to meet customer requirements
  • Following company procedures and work instructions for the manufacture
  • Operating a hot forging press, one must have hot forging and fastener experience; the ability to set presses is desirable with experience in setting
  • Flagging up to management any issues in own work, equipment faults that may impact on the ability to achieve required standards of performance
  • Ensuring records relating to forging and heat treatment are documented and maintained
  • Ensuring TPM is completed, monitored, and recorded in the preparation, forging, and heat treatment
  • Maintain good productivity by ensuring machines are running to maximum capacity & efficiency
  • Assisting with receipt and verification of raw materials as per work instructions when required

Requirements:
  • Time management – ability to manage a variety of tasks at the same time
  • Team-orientated, demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the Company and colleagues
  • Good standard of communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and flexibly, using own initiative
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of efficiency and attention to detail and quality
  • Problem-solving
  • Time management

Monday to Thursday 8:15 am to 4:45 pm, Friday 8 am to 2 pm.
