About the role

The role focuses on waste, recycling, and circular economy sectors, contributing to business development and supporting various projects in the UK and internationally. Working closely with the process engineering team and other departments, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing waste and recycling projects from inception to completion
  • Assisting in the evaluation of designs, proposals, and technical reports
  • Preparing procurement documentation and overseeing project contracts
  • Conducting energy assessments, financial modeling, and plant inspections
  • Cultivating client relationships, attending conferences, and pursuing new projects
  • Collaborating with SLR teams on technical engineering aspects of diverse projects

About you

The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree and project management experience in waste and recycling sectors. Strong communication skills, teamwork abilities, and a proactive attitude are essential. Key qualifications include:

  • Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in project management within waste/recycling sectors
  • Proficiency in data analysis, modeling, and report writing
  • Independent and team-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel

Additional qualifications

  • Master's degree in relevant field
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional membership
  • Experience in on-site operations and health & safety regulations
  • Knowledge of contract management and procurement processes
  • Passion for advancing sustainability and environmental goals
