We are looking for a Senior Lead Infrastructure Manager to be responsible for a team of 200+ technologists accountable for the design, build and run of the day-to-day UK Infrastructure and technology teams covering all technology towers; compute, storage, middleware, database and networks etc.

You will have:

  • Extensive cloud migration experience and a strong understanding of the commercials associated with this
  • Experience in managing an entire infrastructure estate physical, cloud, distribute, database

Working with the regional CIO and the Global Head of Infrastructure you will be expected to build and develop the clients offshore captive capability across the technology domains that lend themselves to be safely, securely, and regulatory acceptable to do so.


This new role will define and present a clear, concise technology roadmap that will play a pivotal role in extending our clients industry leadership position and reputation as a leader in technology and innovation.

Constantly challenging the status quo and dynamically upgrading the technology capability framework and capability maps, they will embrace available, emerging and future technologies to accelerate the development, re-use and time to market of clients UK&Is products and services.

Ensure a true 24x7x365 technical support capability for the services that underpin their products in the market.

The role will also act as regional IT ambassador for all future M&A activity, liaise with regional IT Teams and Leadership ensuring all parties are aligned.


The role will report directly into the Regional CIO and have a dotted reporting line into the Global head of Infrastructure.

Accountabilities

  • Own the overall regional technology strategy by contributing to and aligning with the global technology strategies; provide thought leadership in adoption of standards and governance models
  • Build regional Technology leadership team, creating a new technology leadership team through a combination of identification of internal talent supplemented by bringing in new hires.
  • The proactive advocacy and adoption of the latest approved technologies along with the drive to remove aging technology and software standards
  • Drive compliance with policies and technical standards and commercial frameworks
  • Management and oversight of all technology assets, ensuring appropriate financial and resource planning takes place to keep within agreed tolerances
  • Effective Technology capacity forecasting and management, ensuring the ability to support its current and future demands
  • Define the appropriate reporting mechanisms, highlighting where our Infrastructure and software estate are noncompliant against our minimum standards or policies.
  • Attendance and engagement in the Business Units' product strategy, roadmap and architecture governance
