up to £39,000 plus £312 working from home payment

We are currently working with an independent fostering agency to recruit a full time 37 hour week Fostering Social Worker, on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role offering a competitive salary of up to £39,000 per annum. In addition you will receive a competitive benefits structure.

In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting, assessing, supervising and supporting Foster Carers to support the agency in maintaining their quality fostering service for looked after children. The role involves recruitment of foster carers, travel to the homes of the agencies' foster carers as required, leading occasional projects, running and delivering training and support groups, and taking part in an 'out of hours' duty system (approximately 3/4 times a year) paid at a supplement. In this role you will covering Monmouthshire, Newport, Cardiff, Caerphilly and RCT. You will have case responsibility of 13-15 fostering households.   • A relevant social work qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales or equivalent (prepared to register with SCW before commencement of role)
  • Form F assessment experience
  • Fostering experience
