What is the role?
This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our busy Accounts team. This role typically reports into the Finance Manager.


This will be a varied role, which will require the role holder to carry out cashier duties along with varied finance tasks.


The role will include:

  • Maintain the cashbook and produce a weekly cash report
  • Weekly cheque run for customer payments, expenses etc
  • Prepare a monthly trading account
  • Monthly reports eg Bank Reconciliations, PAYE
  • Monthly VAT return inc. completing required VAT actions
  • Maintain the Sales Ledger
  • Petty Cash
  • Produce P46 and P11D Reports
  • Run Purchase Ledger payment runs
  • Any other accounting duties reasonably required by the Finance Manager

What we need from you?

  • Experience in a similar accounting role
  • A relevant accounting qualification or working towards one would be beneficial
  • Previous experience in the construction industry would be an advantage but not essential
  • Must be organised, diligent and able to work under pressure
