Field Technician - North London
Location: Travel required around North London (including Essex, Chelmsford, Stevenage, Luton, Cambridge, Peterborough)

Joining a dedicated, multiskilled broadcast engineering team in a rewarding and challenging field based role. Responsibilities include fault finding, maintenance and support on a wide range of equipment in the broadcast and telecommunications industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete planned works and maintenance on a range of systems and networks
  • Respond to faults and service outages and complete corrective maintenance in line with Arqiva standards, policies and procedures
  • Support upgrades and modifications to existing systems and networks following agreed instructions
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation and reporting of actions taken
  • Complete testing and measurements to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry and customer requirements
  • Engage with customers and build positive working relationships
  • Supervise the delivery of 3rd party suppliers and contractors to ensure that specifications and standards meet Arqiva requirements
  • Generate maximum team efficiency through delivering bundled activities within skillset
  • Seek to upskill / develop to enable maximum benefit of preventing other truck rolls to site

Must haves:

  • Clean driving licence
  • Experience with processes, standards and engineering practices related to monitoring and controlling (M&C)
  • Working knowledge of systems and equipment relevant to role such as RF systems, DVB, Analogue Radio, DAB, Microwaves, Sat Comms, Data Networks, Telecoms etc.;.
  • Working knowledge of the principles of power supplies, environmental controls, analogue and digital electronics
