I am seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of my SEN schools team to contribute to their mission of empowering every student to succeed.

Start Date: Immediate

Note: This position is initially through Teaching Personnel, with the aim of transitioning to a direct school contract.

Job Description:

  • As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to children with special educational needs within our school's SEN provision.
  • Work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to implement individualised learning plans and interventions.
  • Assist students with academic tasks and social interaction, as required.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, parents, and fellow staff members to ensure the holistic development and inclusion of SEN students.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a SEN provision within a school setting is essential.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN needs and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Must have a valid DBS check on the update service or be willing to undergo a new one.
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
