We are currently recruiting for a Transport Sub contraction Planner to join our Sub contraction team based at our head office located in Heywood.

Ideally to Ensure Sub-contraction runs efficiently and cost effectively whilst ensuring customers' expectations are met.

Day shift available:

  • 37.5h/week Monday to Friday 08:30 17:00 hours & 60 min for lunch

The role

In this role you will:

  • Plan and allocate routes to dedicated 3rd party resource.
  • Create and maintain Haulier set up documents.
  • Chase outstanding PODS.
  • Plan and allocate all Irish subcontraction.
  • Invoice queries.
  • Produce weekly groupage reports.
  • Working alongside 3rd party Hauliers to resolve D2D issues.
  • Working alongside warehouse team to ensure we plan to a manageable diary.
  • Work closely with Lineage Transport planners to agree subcontracted lanes.
  • Provide cover for bookings and planning team when required.

Who we're looking for:

  • Experience within a transport /traffic role.
  • Good Geographical Knowledge.
  • Excellent administration skills, great eye for attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a pressurised department.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • An understanding of warehousing operations and understanding the interface with transport.
