Based in the heart of London, this permanent role provides opportunities to learn and apply core research and analysis skills before becoming an Associate with us, and then quickly progressing to Analyst. Initially, you will work on our growing Thematic Intelligence service, which will give you an incredible grounding in the themes shaping how we live and how businesses respond.

By working on thematic research, you will explore the major themes affecting all companies in our industries of expertise. We serve customers across multiple markets all requiring intelligence across some or all our 20+ expert industries including Technology, Media, Consumer, Agribusiness, Automotive, Financial Services and Healthcare. You will rotate through several of our industry departments focusing on the themes that represent significant opportunities and threats to players in each sector. You will use our databases and custom thematic engine to identify winners and losers and provide data-driven strategies for them. You will develop agility and knowledge that gives you an advantage in whatever sector or subject you specialise in when you become a GlobalData Analyst.

As a Graduate at GlobalData you will enjoy early responsibility and exposure to our customers and the functions that serve them, including progressive commercial teams building lasting customer relationships, software developers, and passionate events professionals. You will have access to a mentor, online courses, and learning sessions hosted by your colleagues, key stakeholders and senior leaders. Vitally your experienced teammates will show you the ropes, and your management will work closely with colleagues in our People function to support you in your career. As a Graduate, you will start to develop your profile as an expert before becoming an Associate Analyst with the opportunity to specialise further.

What you will do:

Author high-quality published reports on the future impact of tech, macro and industry themes such as AI, Robotics, Sustainability, and Digital Media on companies across over 20 different sectors, targeting a corporate strategy, executive leadership and focusing on recommendations.

Collaborate with market analysts from across these sectors to incorporate insights into our reports.

Present and promote your analysis to senior executives, our commercial teams and business media via social media, webinars and other client presentations.

Evaluate customer needs and keep abreast of relevant industry news events to contribute to the development of existing and new thematic research and intelligence.

Work with our database teams and data scientists to interpret vast data sets into meaningful analysis.

Manage, maintain, and develop GlobalData's proprietary thematic scoring engine.
