We're looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Care Home in Barnsley Cudworth, in this role you'll be responsible for carrying out general maintenance and repairs on our care home.

Responsible for specific Health and Safety duties with regard to safeguard systems including: weekly checks on water temperature. weekly checks on fire alarms. monthly checks on emergency lighting system. monthly check on fire exits/fire fighting equipment. Maintain accurate and comprehensive maintenance requests and work carried out records.


Understand personal responsibilities in relation to the Health & Safety at Work legislation, and demonstrates a working knowledge of COSHH assessments applicable in own work area.


You need to:

  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Well presented, punctual and friendly attitude
  • Multi skilled with experience in a wide range of property maintenance tasks
  • Well organised

Job entails:

  • Complete various property maintenance jobs
  • Report works completed accurately to home manager.
  • Collect materials required for jobs
  • Excellent time keeping

Some examples of works required in properties:

  • Resealing baths/shower trays
  • Door handles
  • Lock replacements
  • Trace plumbing leaks and fix
  • Toilet repairs
  • Replacement taps/repairs
  • General maintenance repairs
  • Painting and decorating
  • Tiling
  • Plaster patching
  • Plus more
  • Fire safety checks
  • Ground keeping
Part-time hours and Full-time hours available

Job Types:
Part-time/Full-time, Permanent role.

Salary:
From £ £12.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 5 days a week, Generally Monday Friday.
