Job summary

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced individual that is willing tojoin our small, dynamic and friendly team of professionals who deliver the highest standards of diagnostic investigations in Ultrasound.

The Ultrasound service is located within the Radiology Department at Bronglais General Hospital in Aberystwyth, Ceredigion.

We perform a wide range of Ultrasound investigations utilising the latest ultrasound systems.

Applicants must be a Registered Health Professional with an appropriate post graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound.

You will ideally have evidence of relevant experience in ultrasound in obstetrics. Knowledge and exposure to other areas of ultrasound would also be beneficial.

There may be a requirement to work flexible hours to meet service demands.

Main duties of the job

In addition you may be involved in the supervision of student Sonographers and Radiographers.

Bronglais General Hospital is the main healthcare provider for the population of Ceredigion, providing a wide range of clinical and Accident & Emergency services.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications & Knowledge

Essential

Degree or equivalent diploma Case Accredited post graduate certificate or diploma at masters level in Ultrasound HCPC, RCT or registration with relevant professional body eg:NMC, RCN, RCM Sound Professional knowledge of imaging modalities (Eg ANC/TV scanning, Obstetric, Non-obstetric scanning) Evidence of current CPD portfolio

Desirable

Highly specialist training in aspects of ultrasound Developed knowledge of a specialised ultrasound imaging Small parts or vascular

Experience

Essential

Post registration professional experience in a diagnostic ultrasound imaging

Desirable

Experience of specialist ultrasound imaging techniques Experience with digital/PACS enabled ultrasound equipment.
