Manufacturing Engineer

Oxford Instruments Andor has ambitious growth plans for the next 5-year period, and this role will play a critical part in optimising the production streams to meet the growth strategy. The successful candidate will strengthen the overall skill set of the department. You will ensure the delivery of Manufacturing activities in support of the Business whilst complying with procedures in order to programme manage and execute manufacturing engineering tasks. The initial focus will be developing our Bill of Manufacture and Bill of Operations structure to model and optimise our production flow and the for the implantation of a new ERP system being launched within the Business.

After the new ERP system has been launched, the ongoing upkeep and optimisation of the Operations aspect of the system (including working with NPI to ensure new products are developed with the required ERP data) will take priority, along with the development of processes, procedures, and material flow to support this.

This permanent position is based at our Belfast headquarters full time onsite

The Manufacturing Engineer will have:

BEng or BSc qualification in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification AND 3+ years relevant experience

or

HND qualification in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification AND 7+ years relevant experience

Relevant experience developing Bill of Manufacture/Bill of Operations structures aligned to operational and enterprise resource planning (ERP) / Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems. Also, experience of developing manufacturing routings, process and value stream maps, and material flow, aligned to the ERP system requirements, to optimise production throughput.
