The Focus of the role:
The main focus of the role of Garden Answers Editor is to formulate and direct editorial strategy and deliver the best possible content for the readers.
Create market-leading content for consumers whilst maintaining and expanding the profile, prestige and authority of the brand.Key Responsibilities and tasks:
As editor, you'll be responsible for:
- Maintaining high quality editorial content
- Ensuring Garden Anwers operates at the centre of the community it represents
- Spotting opportunities for exciting and innovative brand extensions to reach new markets
- Working with commercial and marketing teams to spot and develop commercial opportunities to generate revenue
- Representing the brand in the market and at events
What you will bring:
- Fresh ideas for compelling editorial content
- A keen eye for detail
- The ability to nurture relationships with readers, contributors and key people in the gardening and horticulture industry
- A clear vision of where Garden Answers needs to go and ideas for getting there
- The ability to manage a busy workload in a timepressured environment
- Great team working skills, and the ability to collaborate with others in the team as needed.
- Confidence in your interpersonal skills.
- A real passion for gardening, plants and garden design
